The EPB staking bolt, the EPM staking nut, and the SEB flush mounted staking bolt can be set into prepunched metal pieces made from steel or aluminum during the stamping operation by means of progressive tooling. The result is sheet metal parts ready to be assembled while meeting all reqjuirements of installation and use.

The self-piercing nut STM is used whenever a nut is to be staked into non-prepunched sheet metal. The joint is formed by the nut piercing its own hole, follwed by a compression of materials into the ribs and underneath the collar. This results in a connection with high torsional and push-out resistance.
